Packers vs Falcons Odds

Here are the odds from for the game:

  • Green Bay +3
  • Atlanta -3

Green Bay Packers Analysis

The Packers season ended in the Georgia Dome last season after the team fell to the high-flying Falcons, so they will be coming into this game trying to get a little payback for the loss.

During the offseason, the team addressed some of the biggest issues they had, which were mainly on defense, and so far, it looks like the changes they made worked.

The Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the season opener, and while quarterback Aaron Rodgers gets most of the credit for the win, it was their defense that held the Seahawks to nine points and helped the team get the win.

Green Bay’s defense dominated the Seattle offensive line, which made things difficult for Russell Westbrook. This week, they will be hoping to do the same against Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense.

Offensively, the Packers should be able to keep up with the Falcons, and if the defense holds up again this week, they should be able to get the win.

Atlanta Falcons Analysis

The defending NFC champions won their season opener against the Chicago Bears, but the game was a lot closer than most expected.

The Falcons offense put up 23 points, but didn’t look like the offense that scored in bunches against opponents last year.

Atlanta’s offense had a few trips to the Chicago red zone, but settled for field goals instead of touchdowns on several occasions, which made the final score closer than it really was.

Part of the reason why Atlanta’s offense didn’t look as crisp is the fact that the team has a new offensive coordinator this year, after Kyle Shanahan left to take the San Francisco 49ers head coaching position in the offseason.

Atlanta’s defense also has to play better this week if they want to beat the Packers this week. The Falcons allowed the Bears, who were starting journey man quarterback Mike Glennon and lost top receiver Kevin White.

If they don’t get pressure on Aaron Rodgers, they will find themselves in a hole very quickly.

Pick and Prediction

The Falcons are favored to win this game by 3 points. The over/under on total points scored is 54. The Packers will be going for some revenge so expect this to be a close one, but the Falcons will pull it off in the end. Take Atlanta -3.

Play: Falcons -3
